In the 'Empowering Educators: Navigating Digital Literacy' course, participants will engage with critical concepts in digital and information literacy tailored specifically for K-12 settings. This course aims to enhance the capabilities of educators and library professionals by providing them with the tools necessary to foster information fluency among students. Over three engaging sections, teachers will explore best practices in learning design, discover strategies to integrate technology in the classroom, and develop resources that enhance student learning outcomes. Attendees will gain hands-on experience in creating digital content, evaluating information sources, and implementing eLearning resources effectively. By the end of this course, participants will be able to confidently promote a culture of critical thinking and digital literacy in their schools and libraries, ultimately supporting the holistic development of students in an increasingly digital world.
